Getting the right image for my patient
HERCA launched a European communication campaign to promote the appropriate use of medical imaging. It stages a consultation situation between referrer and patient and sets out 7 key questions the referrer should ask when referring for an imaging examination. It highlights what is in the interest of the patient, along with some simple reflections and arguments that can be readily put forward during the consultation.
Autumn 2019 – 24th Board Meeting (Rome, Italy)
HERCA Board met on 30-31 October 2019 in Rome, Italy. Several subjects were discussed such as the preparation of HERCA strategy or the work done by the 6 WG, especially the launch of the Awareness campaign on medical applications.
Spring Board Meeting (Liverpool, UK)
HERCA Board met on 15-16 May 2019 in Liverpool in UK. Several documents related to the implementation of the HERCA-WENRA Approach, the development of the awareness campaign on justification of imaging procedures and the veterinary off-site imaging procedures were approved. HERCA Board members also exchanged with IRPA president on views of professionals on the radiation protection system.
